{"id":31115,"date":"2026-08-21T08:42:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T08:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ukraine\/31115\/"},"modified":"2026-08-21T08:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T08:42:08","slug":"fsb-arrests-alleged-ukrainian-agents-over-plotting-moscow-attack-and-espionage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ukraine\/31115\/","title":{"rendered":"FSB Arrests Alleged Ukrainian Agents Over Plotting Moscow Attack and Espionage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-path-to-node=\"1\">Russian law enforcement authorities have arrested eight people accused of plotting an attack on a Moscow-region defense enterprise and separately detained a foreign national for scouting government buildings and strategic infrastructure, state media reported Friday.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p-rc_974aa633c38c4547-58\" data-path-to-node=\"2\">Russia&#8217;s FSB security service claimed the group of eight was found in possession of 35 explosive-equipped drones smuggled from the European Union,\u00a0which were supposed to be used in an attack on a\u00a0strategic defense facility in the Moscow region.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Separately, the state news agency RIA Novosti reported that a foreign national was detained in the northwestern Murmansk region while attempting to cross the border into Norway.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">According to the FSB, that individual is suspected of spying on trains carrying petroleum products at a Moscow railway station and surveilling government buildings in the Russian capital.
