According to Russian officials and Moscow-appointed representatives, at least 10 people were killed. The targets included a logistics center belonging to Russian online retailer Ozon and industrial facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Russia and Ukraine are expanding their use of long-range drones, striking economic and industrial infrastructure far from the front line. Kyiv says such attacks are intended to reduce Moscow\u2019s ability to finance the war.<\/p>\n<p>The previous day, Russian drones attacked a shopping center in central Ukraine. At least 16 people were killed and more than 130 others were injured in the strike.<\/p>\n<p>Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine\u2019s strikes on economic targets had led to an intensification of Russian retaliatory attacks. Meanwhile, following a conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Emmanuel Macron pledged to speed up deliveries of French equipment to strengthen Ukraine\u2019s air defenses.<\/p>\n<p>Strike on Ozon warehouse in the Samara region<\/p>\n<p>Samara region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said that an elderly woman was killed in the attack in Novokuibyshevsk. According to him, the strike also damaged industrial facilities in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine\u2019s military said it had struck the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery, where a fire broke out after the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Ozon said it had suspended operations at its logistics center in the city of Chapayevsk in the Samara region after the strike. The company said there were casualties as a result of the attack.<\/p>\n<p>This was the first attack on Ozon facilities after several weeks of drone strikes on Wildberries, the company\u2019s larger competitor. Ukraine describes such facilities as part of the economic infrastructure that supports Russia\u2019s military campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Dead and injured in other regions<\/p>\n<p>In the Krasnodar region, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported the deaths of three people, including two children, in the city of Yeysk on the coast of the Sea of Azov. Another adult was injured.
