(Reuters)<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Putin has warned that Ukrainian strikes on Russian economic targets open a &#8220;Pandora\u2019s box,&#8221; while Kyiv maintains <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_world_article_main-content_article-body_6_932161\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/ukraine-launches-largest-drone-attacks-russia-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">deep strikes<\/a> are vital to disrupting Moscow\u2019s logistics.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Ukraine has targeted Russian economic infrastructure, including warehouses belonging to online retailers <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_world_article_main-content_article-body_6_932162\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/ukrainian-drones-hit-warehouse-russian-online-retailer-ozon-overnight-strikes-2026-08-22\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Wildberries<\/a> and Ozon.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;The war with Russia has seen a lot of advances for the Ukrainians over this year,&#8221; former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_world_article_main-content_article-body_6_932163\" href=\"https:\/\/vandenbergcoalition.org\/carrie-filipetti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Carrie Filipetti<\/a>, now executive director of the Vandenberg Coalition, told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;They&#8217;ve recently been able to actually penetrate much deeper into Russian territory, including close to Moscow and St. Petersburg.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;Their success on the military front has now resulted in the Russians getting panicked and starting to attack more inside Ukraine and what they&#8217;re really trying to do is weaken their will and capabilities,&#8221; Filipetti said, adding that Putin &#8220;gets very anxious when he&#8217;s put in a corner.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;What we&#8217;re seeing is these sorts of gasps at trying to retain some kind of control,&#8221; Filipetti added. &#8220;This is why he recently targeted a shopping mall inside Ukrainian territory. He is not focused on targeting military assets.
