The visit comes amid concerns that the escalating Russia-Ukraine war could expand beyond the two countries.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"forfirstp\">After Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will visit Ukraine and Poland on September 3-5, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has said.<\/p>\n<p>The MEA said that Jaishankar will hold talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Polish FM and Deputy Prime Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The visit will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and also provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest,&#8221; the MEA further said.<\/p>\n<p>The visit comes amid concerns that the escalating Russia-Ukraine war could expand beyond the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>The visit immediately follows the Modi-Putin meeting on the sidelines of the SCO Summit at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.<\/p>\n<p>In public remarks during the meeting, Modi told Putin that he must bring the &#8220;endless war&#8221; to an end.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every day that the war continues, humanity is, in effect, set back a step, whilst every step towards peace gives all of humanity real hope for peace. We need to move from endless war to an end to the war, to a cessation of hostilities.
