During the talks, the parties discussed further support for Ukraine, assistance to Ukrainian regions, the treatment and rehabilitation of service members, and the return of children illegally taken to Russia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14px;color: #666\">This was reported by Ruslan Stefanchuk on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/v\/1BT7U4YCSU\/?mibextid=wwXIfr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"outer_link\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ruslan Stefanchuk reported on the meeting in a post. According to him, this was the first visit by the head of the Catalan government to Ukraine in history.<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainians are fighting for the freedom of all Europeans.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Salvador Illa<\/p>\n<p>Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked Salvador Illa for his personal leadership, consistent support for Ukraine, and clear position on countering Russian aggression.<\/p>\n<p>The war continues, and serious humanitarian challenges remain. We discussed further support for Ukraine, assistance to Ukrainian regions, and the treatment and rehabilitation of our service members.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Ruslan Stefanchuk<\/p>\n<p>The participants also discussed the return of Ukrainian children whom Russia illegally removed from Ukraine, as well as cultural solidarity. Ruslan Stefanchuk highlighted the steps taken by Spain and Catalonia to preserve Ukraine\u2019s presence in the European cultural space and counter Russian narratives.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Salvador Illa and Barcelona Mayor Jaume Collboni.
