Trump\u2019s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, arrived in\u00a0Moscow on\u00a0September 5 and met with Putin before traveling to\u00a0Kyiv the next\u00a0day. During talks in\u00a0Kyiv, the two sides broadly acknowledged that the war was unlikely to\u00a0end before winter, and Witkoff and Kushner discussed ways to\u00a0help Ukraine through a\u00a0difficult period, sources told the Financial Times.<\/p>\n

Putin ordered a\u00a0three-day pause in\u00a0strikes on\u00a0Kyiv during Witkoff and Kushner\u2019s visits to\u00a0Moscow and Kyiv.
