{"id":39355,"date":"2026-09-08T23:55:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T23:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ukraine\/39355\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T23:55:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T23:55:09","slug":"russia-destroys-or-damages-2687-medical-facilities-in-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ukraine\/39355\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia destroys or damages 2,687 medical facilities in Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion, the Russian military has damaged or destroyed nearly 2,700 medical facilities in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/moz.gov.ua\/uk\/v-ukrayini-trivaye-vidnovlennya-poshkodzhenih-ob-yektiv-medichnoyi-infrastrukturi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ministry of Health of Ukraine<\/a> reported this, according to Ukrinform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of September 1, 2026, information provided by healthcare departments of the regional military administrations and the Kyiv City Military Administration confirms damage to or destruction of 2,687 facilities belonging to 854 healthcare institutions. Of these, 340 facilities belonging to 127 healthcare institutions have been completely destroyed,\u201d the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ministry of Health, the largest number of damaged and destroyed facilities has been recorded in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Kyiv regions.<\/p>\n<p>Despite daily threats and the challenging security situation, efforts to restore medical infrastructure are continuing, the ministry said. So far, 752 facilities have been fully restored, while another 317 have been partially rebuilt. At the same time, 87 facilities that had been completely restored subsequently sustained further damage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMedical facilities continue to operate even under difficult conditions.
