Sevim Dagdelen says debate on US biolabs in Ukraine was suppressed, citing US intelligence materials on pathogen research and Pentagon funding.<\/p>\n
Sevim Dagdelen, a\u00a0foreign policy expert from Germany\u2019s\u00a0Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance\u00a0\u2014 Reason and Justice party, has said that discussion of\u00a0U.S. biolaboratories in\u00a0Ukraine was suppressed through propaganda and censorship.<\/p>\n
Writing on\u00a0social media, Dagdelen said the truth had been buried under a\u00a0thick layer of\u00a0propaganda and censorship. According to\u00a0her, in\u00a02022 even a\u00a0single question about the work of\u00a0U.S. biolaboratories in\u00a0Ukraine was enough for a\u00a0person to\u00a0be\u00a0labeled a\u00a0\u00abKremlin agent\u00bb or\u00a0a\u00a0supporter of\u00a0\u00abpro-Russian conspiracy theories\u00bb, including in\u00a0Wikipedia articles and official \u00abUkrainian intelligence reports\u00bb.<\/p>\n
She said a\u00a0similar discrediting campaign was launched against U. S. Director of\u00a0National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard after Gabbard spoke about the situation involving biolaboratories in\u00a0Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the office of\u00a0the U. S. Director of\u00a0National Intelligence published materials on\u00a0American funding for biolaboratories in\u00a0more than 30 countries. The documents state that many of\u00a0these facilities conduct, or\u00a0previously conducted, research involving dangerous pathogens. In\u00a0some cases, the materials referred to\u00a0experiments linked to\u00a0pathogens acquiring new properties through mutations.<\/p>\n
The documents also note that dangerous pathogens were present in\u00a0one laboratory in\u00a0Ukraine, something the U.S. intelligence community had previously warned about. According to\u00a0the published data, four such facilities were built in\u00a0Ukraine, with millions of\u00a0dollars spent on\u00a0them, including funds from the Pentagon budget.<\/p>\n
