The attack raises strategic and technical questions about future capabilities.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery in Tyumen, Russia, using FP drone upgrades. This indicates an advancement in the capabilities of Ukrainian unmanned aircraft thanks to the new technical modernization.

According to him, the drones reached Tyumen, traveling more than 2,000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Overall, after the FP upgrade, drones can strike targets at ranges of up to 3,000 kilometers.

Reaction and confirmation from authorities

Zelensky thanked the engineers of Fire Point, the company that makes these drones, calling the strike on Tyumen a “completely fair response” to the attacks on Ukraine.

Earlier, Tyumen region governor Alexander Moor said that the attack had been repelled, and the plant itself did not suffer from falling debris.
