Michelle M. Stein
Bloomberg Industry Group has named Michelle M. Stein deputy team lead for the Daily Labor Report, moving her into a leadership role focused on labor coverage.
Stein previously served as a deputy team leader covering corporate governance news at Bloomberg Industry Group. Her new position shifts her editorial focus to labor policy and workplace issues covered by the Daily Labor Report.
Before joining Bloomberg Industry Group, Stein was deputy editor at Modern Healthcare. She joined the healthcare business publication in January 2024 and remained there until late 2025.
Earlier in her career, Stein worked at Inside Health Policy as assistant publisher. She also reported on Medicare and Medicaid policy, healthcare legislation and healthcare reform for Inside CMS and Inside Health Policy.
That experience gave Stein a background covering complex federal policy and regulatory developments before she moved into newsroom management and corporate governance coverage.
Stein holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
Her appointment adds her editorial and policy reporting experience to the Daily Labor Report’s leadership team as Bloomberg Industry Group continues its coverage of labor, employment and workplace developments.
