Police have charged a St. John’s man with first-degree murder after another man was shot to death last week.
Forty-eight-year-old Corey Snook is accused of the premeditated killing of 30-year-old Terry Griffin on Salter Place in the city’s west end last Thursday.
The victim was found dead inside a home after RNC received reports of shots fired around 10:40 that morning.
RNC then surrounded a house on nearby Gros Morne Place where Snook was taken into custody.

He was already facing previous charges of uttering threats and assault with a weapon involving Griffin.
In addition to murder, Snook is charged with careless use of a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm knowing possession is unauthorized, and three counts of breaching release orders.
Police continue to seek tips and any video footage of the area from Salter Place, and Columbus Drive to Gros Morne Place, between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. last Thursday.
Snook is due in court for a bail hearing Tuesday morning.
