OPINION — The future of the Colorado River continues to highlight the importance of long-term planning, responsible water management and conservation across our state.
While long-term challenges remain, I want residents to know that this update does not change water service for Phoenix customers. Phoenix has spent decades preparing for water challenges through strategic investments in infrastructure, groundwater storage, conservation efforts, a diversified water portfolio and innovative projects that strengthen our long-term water security.
While Phoenix remains prepared, continued conservation is essential. The choices we make today help strengthen our resilience and ensure we can protect this precious resource for generations to come.
