PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead after being stabbed outside a restaurant in Phoenix late Saturday night.
Just before midnight, first responders were called to a reported stabbing near 24th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Officers arrived and found 29-year-old Lonnie Shepherd Jr. lying on the ground outside a restaurant with at least one stab wound, according to the Phoenix Police Department. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police say the suspect and Shepherd had been arguing near the restaurant before the stabbing occurred. No arrests have been announced, and it is unclear whether a suspect has been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
