The tractor-trailer tipped over at the intersection of Point Judith and Galilee Escape roads in Narragansett.
Crews were seen using skid steers to remove the squid off the hot pavement.
“Squid has a distinctive odor to it, I’m a fisherman and I use squid for bait. I’m quite used to it, but it can be very foul-smelling especially if it lies on the road and stays there for a while. The fire department is doing a great job cleaning thing up as best they can,” Richard Stevens, a neighbor, told WJAR.
The tractor-trailer was towed away and no one injuries were reported.
