The squad’s popular reality show, America’s Sweethearts, has been renewed for a fourth season, the streamer announced Thursday. The show will follow the cheerleaders during the 2026-27 season, including a new set of rookie candidates and some returning veterans. Season 4 is set for a 2027 premiere, according to a news release.
“Every season we get a little further past the performance and closer to the person,” director Greg Whiteley said in the release. “I’m grateful we get another season to tell their stories.”
Senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell will return to lead the 2026 squad.
“We’re proud to continue to share their stories and artistry with audiences, inspiring the next generation of young performers all over the world to dream big and pursue their passions,” Finglass said in the release.
The show’s third season came out in June 2026 and quickly found a big audience on Netflix, landing on the platform’s Global Top 10 for two weeks and charting in 22 countries. The season received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program.
America’s Sweethearts has also helped grow the profile of individual dancers. Reece Weaver, for example, was a fan favorite on the show who recently landed the lead role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway revival of Chicago.
Ahead of Season 4’s premiere, you can catch the cheerleaders in action at Cowboys home games this year, starting with the preseason finale on Aug. 28 against the New Orleans Saints.
