Last night’s monsoon storms are moving away from the Valley, leaving behind cooler temperatures and sticky air. Most storm activity today and Friday is expected to stay over northern Arizona and New Mexico, with only a slight rain chance in Phoenix. Morning clouds could keep Phoenix below 105 degrees today. But the break will not last long, as temperatures climb near 112 degrees Friday and 113 degrees Saturday. Forecasters expect the late-season heat wave to bring highs between 110 and 114 degrees through next Thursday.
