CHAUTAUQUA, New York (WWNY) – According to multiple news reports, a St. Lawrence County man was killed in a crash Thursday in western New York.
WIVB in Buffalo reported that Doug Griffith, 51, of Massena, was killed on Route 430 in the town of Chautauqua shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said its investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Alexander Morelli of Meadville, PA, was traveling eastbound and failed to keep right, crossing over a double solid center line.
Officials said he struck a vehicle traveling westbound, driven by Griffith.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
