Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug was arrested Friday and booked into the Collin County jail on charges of driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to jail records.
Xavier Landum, 27, who performs under the stage name BigXthaPlug, was taken into custody Friday by the Allen Police Department, court records show. He faces charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Details of what led to the arrest were not immediately available. Landum remained in the Collin County jail as of late Friday, according jail records.
He was released on bond in that case.
He also faced a marijuana possession charge in Arlington earlier in 2025; those charges were later dismissed.
Landum, a Dallas native, rose to prominence with hits including “Texas” and “Mmhmm.” He has drawn attention for blending hip-hop with country influences and collaborating with artists such as Luke Combs, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey.
He has spoken publicly in the past about earlier jail stints that motivated him to pursue music.
No further comment was immediately available from Landum’s representatives or law enforcement.
