The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead after the major crash in the 2600 block, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a fatal crash involving a semi-truck and pickup truck in northwest Harris County.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the crash happened in the 2600 block of West Mount Houston Road (249) early Saturday morning.
Authorities said the driver of the pickup died.
West Mount Houston is closed in both directions as crews work at the scene of the crash.
Authorities said drivers should avoid the area.
