HARRISON, N.J. — Cameron Harper scored late in the second half after subbing in a minute earlier, and the New York Red Bulls rallied for a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire on Saturday night.
Harper replaced Julian Hall in the 85th minute then used assists from Eric Maxim-Choupo and Omar Valencia to score in the 86th. It was his first goal in his fourth appearance this season.
Maren Heile-Selassie used assists from defender Viktor Radojević and Jonathan Bamba in the 38th minute to score his fourth goal and give the Fire a 1-0 lead that stood through halftime. It was the first assist for Radojević in his third career start and 10th appearance.
Chris Brady saved five shots for the Fire (11-6-3), who extended their MLS unbeaten streak to four. They had won six in a row in all competitions for the first time since their debut season in 1998.
Ethan Horvath had four saves to help the Red Bulls (7-9-5) snap a two-match skid.
The Fire travel to Seattle to face the Sounders on Saturday.
