Heather Boyd had spent years building a life that looked, on the surface, like classic suburban success — a husband, four children and a promising career.

She also had a secret.

The “Double Lives of Suburban Wives” star exclusively told Fox News Digital that her hidden adult-content business ultimately cost her the corporate job she had worked hard to build — a blowup she admits she saw coming but never wanted.

“I was actually fired for the adult content,” Boyd said.

The revelation is at the center of TLC’s new reality series, which follows six St. Louis-area couples juggling marriages, children and conventional careers while making money creating adult content.

The risqué reality star told Fox News Digital she had been struggling with her physical appearance after having her youngest child.

“I was losing confidence because I had had my last kid and my body had changed so much,” she said.

At 37, Boyd has four kids, a husband who works for a milk company and a house she describes as “noisy and chaotic all the time.”

For six years, Boyd has maintained a hidden adult-content career under the name “Hella Hot Wife.”

Her family — including the mother-in-law who lives with them — had no idea.

“It’s hard to keep a double life,” Boyd said.

Her spouse, Shawn, made a proposal to boost her morale.

“My husband actually had talked about starting an X account for us and just posting some pictures and that was going to be all in fun,” Boyd said.

Then one post took off.

“He started the X… we posted a picture and, like overnight, it had over 1,000 likes,” Boyd recalled.

“I took it over,” she said. “I was having a lot of fun just posting it for free.”

Someone reached out with a referral link to an adult-content platform, she explained to Fox News Digital.

“And I was like, ‘We could really try this,’” Boyd said. “Like what if we actually were able to make a little bit of money off of this?”

At the time, Boyd said she was working as a certified nursing assistant, or CNA, a job she described as physically demanding and poorly compensated.

“Because I was working as a CNA,” she said. “And as everybody knows, CNAs do a lot of hard work, but they don’t get that pay from it.”

Then came her first lingerie video.

“And I got my first $100 almost immediately,” Boyd said.

“So that was very shocking to me,” she added. “And I was like, I think this could work.”

The reality star said she eventually made about $5,000 in her best month.

According to TLC, the six St. Louis-area couples have built “lucrative and unconventional second lives” while navigating marriage, parenthood and careers creating adult content.

For Boyd, the stakes were about to become much higher.

Boyd and Shawn also chose to keep their content business largely separated from their children.

The couple kept a locked room in their home where they created content. She said their kids believed it was simply an office for her corporate work.

“My husband just let them know, like, ‘that’s your mom’s office,’” Boyd said. “‘You can’t go in there.’”

“They thought it was for my corporate job that I had to go down there sometimes and work after hours, which was true,” she added.

“I did have to work after hours there. But it’s always been locked,” Boyd said. “And, you know, it has expensive computers and things in there. So, you just can’t go in there and break anything.”

TLC describes Boyd and Shawn as a couple who appear to have it all — a stable home, four children and successful careers — while quietly operating a thriving adult-content business.

But as the series unfolds, Boyd begins questioning whether the life she’s built still matches the person she has become.

Despite the fallout, Boyd said she has no regrets about appearing on the show.

“And, you know, doing the show is absolutely not anything I regret,” she said. “I am so glad that I did it.”
