A 34-year-old model is facing backlash after saying that she wants to date a young, college sports millionaire.
Brittany Renner, a popular model and influencer, is facing criticism after setting her sights on young college football and college basketball players. There are now hundreds – if not thousands – of extremely rich college athletes, due to their Name, Image and Likeness deals.
The popular model has reportedly set her sights on Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. The 20-year-old Buckeyes star is earning millions of dollars per year at Ohio State. He’s expected to be a high pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
“I need a young NIL millionaire. I need that,” Renner said.
“I’m looking for them young NIL millionaires,” Renner added.
Smith, arguably the best player in college football, currently has an NIL value around $5 million.
Renner, meanwhile, has a history with athletes. She has a child with NBA forward P.J. Washington, who played collegiately at Kentucky. Renner and Washington went public with their relationship in 2020 and welcomed their son, Paul III, in 2021.
Renner faces criticism for her dating pursuits
“You can see the pain in her eyes,” one wrote.
“Disturbing. Leave these college athletes alone,” one fan added.
“Do not mess with Jeremiah Smith before the Ohio State football season! The Buckeyes need him in a big way,” one fan added.
Ohio State is set to open the 2026 college football season as the No. 1 team in the country. The Buckeyes are No. 1 in both the AP Poll and the Coaches’ Poll.
Ryan Day’s team is scheduled to begin the season on Sept. 5 against Ball State. Kickoff is currently scheduled for 12:30 p.m. E.T. The game will air on BTN.
Smith and Ohio State will travel to Texas for Week 2.
