PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two men are fighting for their lives after a two-car crash in central Phoenix late Monday morning.
Just after 11 a.m., first responders were called to multiple reports of the crash near 19th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Phoenix police say that when crews arrived, they pulled two men from one of the vehicles. Both were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The woman who was driving the second car was also taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Authorities are working to determine what led up to the crash, as well as whether impairment was involved. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area, as the intersection is expected to remain closed during the investigation.
