A 35-year-old man who was fatally injured as a result of a stabbing in downtown Los Angeles was identified Monday.
Officers responded the afternoon of Aug. 13 near Sixth Street and Maple Avenue to reports of a stabbing, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The responding officers located a victim with stab wounds, who was taken to a hospital and later pronounced deceased.
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Andrew Holland, who sustained a stab wound to his upper body.
Details about what led up to the stabbing were not available.
There was no description of the suspect, who was later located and taken into custody. It was unclear what led police to identify the person as a suspect. It was also unclear if a weapon was recovered.
