Dallas police are investigating a shooting that killed a 20-year-old woman in Red Bird Tuesday evening.
Police said at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, they found a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle at the 8000 block of West Virginia Drive.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian, Aniya Edwards, was shot by a person who was not identified by police, according to a Wednesday news release from the department. Edwards was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
The pedestrian was also taken to a hospital. Police said the pedestrian was listed in stable condition.
As of Wednesday, police had not made any arrests.
