BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A new nonstop service out of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) is set to take flight later this year.
BHM officials announced this week that Southwest is adding a new flight to Phoenix, Arizona from BHM.
Starting Tuesday, customers on Southwest flights will have assigned seats and the option of paying more to get their preferred seat closer to the front of a plane or seats with extra legroom.(Source: Southwest Airlines via CNN)
In 2024, Southwest introduced a “test flight” from BHM to Phoenix to see how the market responded.
The nonstop flights to Phoenix, according to BHM, are set to begin this November.
