Rose took to his official X account on Wednesday to share his delight that he will play the first round of the Tour Championship alongside Scott.

“To walk with my mate Scotty after a combined 50yrs + of sharing the fairways of professional golf together.
“It’s great to see that we continue to play at the highest level, against the best and brightest stars on tour.

The Englishman has won 13 times and has recorded 120 top-10 finishes, as well as 75 top-5s.

Meanwhile, Scott has made 372 cuts in 443 PGA Tour events throughout his career.
The Australian has 14 PGA Tour wins to his name – one more than Rose.

Meanwhile, they both have one major championship to their names – arguably fewer than they deserve.

Both players are magnificent role models to the younger golfers out on tour, and it would be no surprise if either of them contended this week at East Lake.
