LAPD Shoots Dog that Attacked Officer in Green Meadows

Police shot a dog that allegedly bit an officer Thursday in the Green Meadows neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Officers responded around 9:10 a.m. Thursday to the area of East 111th Place and Towne Avenue on reports of a “domestic incident,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department. At the scene, a dog attacked and bit one of the officers, police said.

The dog was subsequently shot by one of the officers, but details about the animal’s condition were not disclosed.

It was unclear what type of domestic incident was being investigated, or if any arrests were made.
