PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Drivers may see some delays on metro Phoenix freeways this weekend as the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) continues work on multiple projects.
In the northwest Valley, the westbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) will be closed between 51st and 75th avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project. Additionally, both I-17 ramps to westbound Loop 101 and the westbound on-ramps at 27th and 35th avenues will be closed.
To get around this, drivers can exit early and use westbound Bell Road or Union Hills Drive.

Also in the northwest Valley, the eastbound Loop 101 ramps to north- and southbound I-17 will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers should exit ahead of the ramp closures and use local alternate routes to reach the interstate.
In the southeast Valley, the westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) will be closed between Gilbert Road and Arizona Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project. The westbound on-ramps at San Tan Village Parkway, Val Vista Drive and Lindsay Road will also be closed.
Drivers can get around this by using westbound Pecos or Germann roads, or use westbound U.S. 60 as an alternate freeway route.
In central Phoenix, southbound State Route 51 will be narrowed to two lanes between Northern Avenue and Bethany Home Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project. The southbound on-ramps at Northern, Glendale and Bethany Home Road will be closed. To bypass the delays, drivers can use southbound I-17 into downtown Phoenix.
Also in central Phoenix, northbound State Route 51 will be closed between Indian School Road and Colter Street from 9 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday for a pavement project. The northbound on-ramps at McDowell and Thomas roads will also be closed.
Drivers can detour by exiting ahead of the closure and using northbound 16th or 24th streets to travel north.
North of Maricopa, State Route 347 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between Casa Blanca Road and Mammoth Way from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for paving. Drivers should allow extra travel time, slow down and prepare to merge.
In Buckeye, the eastbound Interstate 10 off-ramp and westbound on-ramp at Jackrabbit Trail will be closed from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for an interchange reconstruction project. Drivers can detour using the I-10 interchanges at Verrado Way and Perryville Road.
