San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones is outlining the city’s response after severe storms and strong winds left roughly 70,000 CPS Energy customers without power Friday night.
Jones said crews are working to restore power, with restoration efforts expected to continue into the weekend.
The mayor said debris cleanup is also underway and residents who need assistance to call 3-1-1.
As the city responds to the storm damage, libraries and park centers will serve as cooling centers Saturday during their normal operating hours. Pets will be allowed at both locations.
The recovery effort continues.
