A new art studio and events center has opened its doors to the community in Northeast San Antonio.
ArtbyMButterfly Art Studio & Event Center is located at 4212 Thousand Oaks Drive within the Waterford Square plaza.
Owner Marsha McCray said she fully opened to the public in late spring.

The art studio offers “anything you can think of” in the art world, McCray said.
She offers a variety of weekly classes, events and markets, all centered around promoting the arts scene on the Northeast side of San Antonio.
“I want to get art to everybody and I love local artists,” McCray said.
The details
Painting, sculpting, sublimation and glasswork classes are all on the schedule, along with themed events. Meals are also included with admission, McCray said.
McCray said that some of her favorite events are paint and sip activities, speed dating and a dance-themed market.
There’s also a boutique on-site that sells women’s clothing, accessories, home decor, jewelry and a specialized selection of handmade pillows.
Additionally, McCray has set up a consignment area where local artists can rent out space to promote and sell their own art.
