The driver of one of the cars and two light rail passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Phoenix police said.

The eastbound light rail service is closed due to an ongoing investigation, while westbound service continues to operate as normal.

“Due to a collision blocking the B Line tracks near 7th Avenue/Camelback, southbound trains are currently serving riders at the northbound platforms at 19th Avenue/Camelback, 7th Avenue/Camelback and Central Avenue/Camelback,” posted Valley Metro on X, adding that the trains are experiencing delays and that they’ll continue to post updates on their X account.

Drivers are asked to use alternative routes and avoid the area, police recommend.
