College can be a stressful time for most individuals, but UTA is equipped with the services needed for students to maintain positive mental health.

UTA’s Counseling and Psychological Services provides mental health resources such as one-on-one and group counseling, workshops, campus connect suicide awareness training and a 24-hour crisis hotline, said Joseph Allberg, current interim director of Counseling and Psychological Services and assistant director of Mental Health and Outreach Programming.

Students looking to schedule an appointment with the service can do so by calling the office. Virtual services through TimelyCare can be scheduled online. Walk-ins are available for crises.

Students currently enrolled at the university are eligible for six free individual counseling sessions each semester, with a $10 fee for each additional visit.

TimelyCare, a 24-hour online platform that provides telehealth resources such as virtual counseling appointments, mental health modules and consultations, is available to students attending the university in person and online. Students receive nine free sessions per academic year.
