He was also issued citations for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, unsafe passing on the right and refusing to take a test for intoxication after arrested.

CBS placed Romo on “indefinite leave” after his arrest.

Online court records show Romo’s attorney appeared in court Tuesday and entered a plea of no contest to the OWI charge. Romo’s driving privileges were revoked for six months and he was ordered to complete an Alcohol Assessment Program, as well as pay a fine of $784. If the fine is not paid by Nov. 2, Romo’s driver’s license will be suspended for up to one year.

Romo must also have Ignition Interlock Devices installed in his car for a minimum of one year.

The other citations were all dismissed.

Romo posted a statement acknowledging the OWI and CBS suspension following the court hearing on Tuesday.
