SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones joined KSAT to address the aftermath of last Friday’s storm, a looming city budget deficit and a KSAT investigation into airport pricing.
At the height of the storm, roughly 100,000 residents lost power Friday evening, Jones said. As of Tuesday, she said about 150 homes remained without service, most of them on the West Side.
She said residents who need help should call 311.
Jones said she expects airport officials to follow up with vendors to make sure they comply with existing markup policies following a KSAT investigation into overpriced concessions.
Jones also discussed a $158 million deficit the city faces over two years.
