Switch Online’s NES Classics library has today added three more titles as part of the September 2026 games update.
This latest batch of titles includes Tecmo’s 1991 platformer Ninja Gaiden III, Rare’s 1992 racing game R.C. Pro-AM II and the 1986 SNK run and gun, Ikari Warriors. Here is the official description for each title and you see them in motion in the trailer above.
Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom
“Join the master ninja Ryu Hayabusa, last member of the famous Dragon Clan, in the third and final chapter of the legendary Ninja Gaiden saga. Help Ryu defeat the forces of evil once more and discover the real culprit behind Irene’s death!”

IKARI WARRIORS
“Fight against a relentless onslaught of enemies! In this action shooter released for the Nintendo Entertainment System™ in 1987, you’ll infiltrate the enemy base as warriors Paul and Vince to destroy an evil nation. But watch out! You have limited ammo to deploy against hordes of enemies. Resupply with ammo dropped by enemies, take advantage of power-up items, and pilot tanks and helicopters to barrel through the enemy base.”

R.C. PRO-AM II

In Japan this week, Nintendo has added three Famicom titles. In place of Rare’s racer is Namcot’s 1985 action RPG, Dragon Buster.
Dragon Buster
“This title is an action-adventure game for the Family Computer released in 1987. The player takes on the role of the protagonist, Clovis, and aims to slay dragons with sword and magic. Using sword techniques such as helmet splitting and magic items such as scrolls that shoot fireballs, the player must overcome ruins and mountains that are blocked by Room Guardians, defeat the dragon of Dragon Mountain that is plotting to rule the human world, and rescue Princess Celia.”
To access these titles on the Switch Online service, you’ll need to have an active membership. For the Japan games, you’ll need to have a local Nintendo account and the Japanese Switch Online Famicom app.
