Well, it’s expected to be another hot one on Thursday, but after last weekend’s storms, there’s a chance rain could return to the San Antonio area soon.
The Alamo City could soon see rain and thunderstorms toward the end of the workweek, though Thursday is expected to remain mostly dry, sunny and hot, with a high near 100 degrees and a heat index as high as 104, according to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio office.
The weather agency says San Antonio has only about a 10% chance of rain Thursday, with additional low rain chances in the forecast for areas near Llano, San Marcos and Cuero.
On Friday, however, raid odds could increase due to the remnants of Edouard’s moisture spreading across South-Central Texas.
Though it’s expected to be partly sunny with a heat index in the triple digits, as high as 101 degrees for part of the day, rain showers and thunderstorm chances will eventually increase to 30% by the end of the week, mainly after 4 p.m., per the forecast.
Then there’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., with a slight chance of activity between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. , according to the NWS’s 7-Day Forecast. The evening outlook will be partly cloudy, with a 30% chance of precipitation, a low around 73 degrees and wind speeds between 5 and 10 miles per hour.
Over the weekend, showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast, though activity may slow into Sunday night before a 20% chance of rain returns to the area on Labor Day in the afternoon.
