Artemis II astronauts visit NASA Michoud in New Orleans after historic moon flight
NEW ORLEANS —
The Artemis II astronauts, who completed a successful flight around the moon earlier this year, are visiting NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans Thursday to host a town hall with employees.
Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen completed their historic flight around the moon and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean in April.
At the Michoud facility, the astronauts will participate in an employee town hall, answering questions about their time in space.
Employees at the Michoud facility helped build critical components used in the Artemis mission.
The next phase of the Artemis mission, which is planned for 2028, aims to achieve something that has not been done since 1972.
