About the Artists
Eleni Mandell
A San Fernando Valley native, Eleni Mandell grew up inspired by punk legends like X and lyrical storytellers like Tom Waits. While studying at UC Berkeley, she began writing songs and later received mentorship from Chuck E. Weiss — an associate of Waits and the subject of Rickie Lee Jones’ Chuck E’s in Love. In addition to her solo career, Mandell has taught songwriting in women’s prisons through Jail Guitar Doors, a nonprofit co-founded by MC5’s Wayne Kramer and Billy Bragg.
Katie Ferrara
Katie Ferrara is an award-winning singer-songwriter blending Pop, Folk, and Americana. Her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics draw in audiences across genres. A true performer of emotional depth, Ferrara’s work builds on musical legacies while offering something fresh and authentic.

The event, which includes a BBQ dinner and live music, features James Lee Stanley, Leeann Skoda, and an opening set by Colerick with Dan Kalisher on pedal steel guitar.
