Man in custody after SWAT standoff at Beacon Hill home, SAPD says

‘This is a man that needs to be locked up,’ an SAPD officer told KSAT on scene

SAN ANTONIO – Multiple SWAT vehicles were outside a North Side home Friday afternoon in search for a suspect wanted for aggravated robbery, according to a San Antonio police officer at the scene.

It’s unclear when law enforcement was dispatched to the home near Blanco Road and West Magnolia Avenue, but SAPD confirmed they were executing a warrant.

“This is a man that needs to be locked up,” an SAPD officer told KSAT on scene.

SWAT went into the home and took the man into custody. SAPD said no shots were fired, and the suspect is being treated for what appears to be a laceration on his head.
