Michael Lee Austin, 70, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: To follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mike was born on Aug. 27, 1956, in Fort Worth, to Boyd Lee Austin and Carol Ruth Austin. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1974. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth until moving to Granbury, Texas, in 1999. Mike and his partner, Adele Lozano, lived on the lake in Granbury for over 20 years. Mike first worked at Texas Steel and then spent 20 years at JPS Hospital, where he served as Director of Plant Operations. In his downtime, he enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Austin; his father, Boyd Austin; and his brother, Dale Austin. Mike leaves behind his partner, Adele Lozano; son, Michael Austin, of Justin, Texas; daughter, Anne Austin Johnson and husband, Jason, of Haslet, Texas; grandson, Wesley Johnson; and sister, Vickie Austin.
