A man who was found dead in the lake at Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights was publicly identified Saturday.
He was 32-year-old Manuel Martinez, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office. His city of residence was not available. His cause of death was not yet released.
Martinez’s body was found about 11:25 a.m. Thursday at the park in the 400 block of St. Louis Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
It was found in the park’s lake, according to a broadcast report that showed a sheet covering what appeared to be a body along the bank of the lake.
