SAN ANTONIO — One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle.
The crash happened early Sunday morning around 2:47 a.m., in the 13000 block of southbound I-37 near Southton Road. According to SAPD, a woman was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes when her car crashed with a man’s.
Emergency crews found the woman dead inside her vehicle. The other driver was alert following the crash but suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Southbound lanes of I-37 were shut down while emergency crews responded and the scene was eventually cleared.
The woman who died had not been positively identified as of Sunday morning.
