Four people were injured in three separate shootings that occurred within a span of 15 minutes early Saturday morning across Philadelphia.
Just before 2:30 a.m., two men were struck when gunfire erupted on the 2600 block of N. Bancroft Street in North Philadelphia, police said.
Officers responding to the scene took one of the victims to Temple University Hospital, while the other man walked in on his own, authorities added. Law enforcement officials have not detailed the extent of their injuries.
At around the same time, someone shot a 50-year-old man near the corner of 16th and St. Luke Street in Nicetown, according to the PPD. He was taken to Temple hospital, and there was no word on his condition.
In Overbrook, a 31-year-old man was shot at around 2:15 a.m. Saturday on the 6600 block of Leeds Street, investigators said. He was being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries at Lankenau Medical Center, according to police.
The PPD did not report any arrests in connection with the gun violence. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
Through Sept. 5, 486 people had been shot in Philadelphia, down 31% compared to the same date last year, according to police department data.
