LSU products Taryn Brasher & Kristen Cruz win AVP League Championships in Chicago
CHICAGO —
LSU products Taryn (Kloth) Brasher and Kristen (Nuss) Cruz won the AVP League Championships on Sunday at Chicago’s Oak Street Beach.
Brasher and Cruz, of the Austin Aces, were seeded second and won their Sunday morning semifinal, beating the third-seeded Miami Mayhem (Kelly Cheng / Megan Kraft), 15-8, 15-9.
In the championship match, they beat the top-seeded Palm Beach Passion (Melissa Humana-Paredes / Brandie Wilkerson), 15-10, 15-12. Humana-Paredes and Wilkerson are the 2024 Olympic silver medalists.
