A Jacksonville man was arrested on domestic violence charges after a joint investigation between the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and the Marine Corps Provost Marshal’s Office.
Joshua Caleb Lanman, 24, of Baxter Street in Jacksonville, was arrested on Aug. 28 by Onslow County deputies and charged with felony assault by strangulation, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and misdemeanor assault on a female, court records show.
The arrest warrant lists Sept. 1, 2024, as the date of the alleged offenses.
Detectives began investigating the allegations after Provost Marshal’s Office staff notified them of a reported domestic disturbance involving Lanman at Marine Corps Air Station New River in May, according to the sheriff’s office.
Lanman was released on a $20,000 bond with an ankle monitor on Aug. 28, according to court records.
