After barely surviving Italy on Sunday, Team USA will have to turn around and play Czechia today in their final game of the group stage at the 2026 Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The United States have a lot to improve on after posting their lowest scoring total (55) in a World Cup game since 1971. But a matchup with 0-2 Czechia should be a good opportunity for them to build some momentum entering the elimination rounds.
Czechia is led by wing Julie Pospisilova and point guard Eliska Joklova, who has played 21 games for the Minnesota Lynx as a rookie this season.
