PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Police Department has resubmitted charges against the man accused of locking his girlfriend in a shed for two weeks while he tormented her.
Arizona’s Family has confirmed with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office that prosecutors are currently reviewing the case against Timothy Wood after prosecutors asked police to gather additional evidence.
The woman who claims to be a victim of Wood spoke to Arizona’s Family earlier this week, saying she only came forward because she was assured police had enough evidence and her then-boyfriend would remain behind bars.
Abuse accusations are not new for Wood. He was previously charged with domestic violence twice.
“It’s getting worse and worse over time. Is he gonna be like the next Ted Bundy-type person? I don’t know,” Woods’ sister said about his behavior, adding that he has also been violent with family. “He even grabbed my mamma’s gun one time and was pointing it at them.”
Arizona’s Family previously contacted Wood for a response to these accusations, but he did not reply.
Wood was previously booked into jail on kidnapping and several other violent felonies, including aggravated and sexual assault.
