PHOENIX — The northbound lanes of State Route 143 were closed in Phoenix on Wednesday night due to a crash, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
The closure was in place near Sky Harbor Boulevard, ADOT said. That is the exit that leads from the freeway to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The eastbound and westbound transition ramps from Interstate 10 to SR 143 were also closed.
No details about the crash were released.
The southbound lanes were not affected.

SR 143 northbound is now closed near Sky Harbor Blvd due to the crash.
Expect delays. There is no estimated time to reopen.

ADOT did not say when it expected the freeway to reopen and that drivers needed to expect delays in the area.
