After Smith’s exit, team owner Jerry Jones told The Dallas Morning News that Smith left practice with tendinitis in his knee. Smith told reporters he was “fine” and did not have a noticeable limp as he made his way off the practice field.

Smith is entering his fourth season with the Cowboys and has started all 47 games he’s played thus far in his NFL career. The 2022 first-round draft pick has been selected to two Pro Bowls. He’s also due for a raise soon, in the final year of his rookie contract with a club option year in 2026.
